NARROW ESCAPE OF A STEAMER.

Sydney, September 24. The Union Company's steamer ■ Oonah bas bad a perilous voyage from Hobart. She encountered heavy galea on the Tasmanian coast, and after sho ' was four hours out from Hobart, an accident happened to the high-pres-sure cylinder. Had the accident "»• occurred half an hour before it did, the vessel would have been on the ' lee shore, and, owing to a frightful pitching, would have been quite ■ helpless.
