From Our Oicn Correspondent. Wednesday. A meeting of the Management Committee of the recent Footballers' and Cricketers' Ball, which went off so successfully, was held last evening, The Treasurer reported the gross receipts at £2B 12s lid and the expenditure at £1412s lid, leaving a net balance of £l4. The Treasurer was instructed to hand over £7 to each of the Treasurers of the Cricketers' and Footballers' Clubs, Votes of thanks wcrepassscd to the Ladies who so generously helped, and especially to Mrs F. C. Smith, to Mr J. W. Card foraoting as designer and decorator, and to Mr Matthews for the interest he took in the matter. The Kaiwaiwai Creamery is only putting through 170 gallons per diem. Mr J, Guskin's waggon, with a load of posts, broke down yesterday afternoon, in front of Mr Knivins', Happily the driver escaped unhurt. There is a talk of the gentlemen of the District getting up a ball for the Ladies, as a small return for the great help received from them at all previous balls.
