Heavy rains have fallen over ft l.'irge area, and there are indications that the drought Ims broken. Water was badly needed in Brisbane and suburbs, and m many instances residents bad to purchase water. Mr Wragtfc announces thatanother monsoonal disturbance appears to be gradually approaching from the Java Sea; before it operates,.he expects that a short spell of Ay weather will follow the prefjot rains.
Sydxet, September 18.
The rainfall out wost is small, but thoro are indications of further rainproducing disturbances.
