From Our Own Correspondent. Monday. Tho Rev. Dr. Hosking delivered a lecture on "Tho Biblo and Science," k the Wesloyan Church last Friday evening, Ho took tho services yesterday morning, in tho same Obnrch, and addressed the Wosleyan and Presbyterian School scholars, teachers and friends, in the afternoon. He delivers an address on Home Mission Work, to-morrow evening, in the Wosleyan Church. A largo congregation is expected, Several residents walked to Carterton last evening, to hear the rev. gentleman preach, and state that they were well repaid for their long walk. Two 'busses, one from your town and the other from Carterton, visited onr town yesterday, laden with passengers. The weathor was afeutifully fine, "l hear that Mr J, Lewis has patented his starting machine in England, All honor to bim, The Amateur Lady Minstrel Entertainment in aid of St, Luke's Church, comes off to-night, in tha Foresters' Hall, A large house is ■ expected.
