SIMMS & MOWLEM'S STOCKSALE REPORT. Messrs Simnis and Mowlem held their usual fortnightly stock sale in the yards, Queen-street yesterday. All the lines advertised did not put in an appearance, and tlio stock yarded was not up to the average of previous sales; in sheep competition was keen, fat owes topping the markotat lis sd; small 2-tooth ewes in lamb brought (is Id; ewes and wethers mixed, fat (but of inferior quality), 10s 6d, In cattle, no fat stock varied; 2-year old bullocks brought Cos; yearlings, 30s to 38s; dairy cows up fo B7s 6d. Pigs: wcaners, Ss; stores, 12s; breeding sows, 35s to 455. Horses: hacks up to £l2 j 400 ewes and wethers sold privatoly through the weok, the ewes at 10s to lis, wethers 12s 6d.
