THE NEWMAN RAILWAY STATION.

Replying to a petition from settlers, asking that the site of tho Newman railway station be shifted to a-position opposite Mr JHfc sawmill, the Minister ottßNm Works pointed out, that apart from the large expenditure incurred on the present site, the one proposed is not suitable for a railway station, there being a deep cutting at one r '•* end and a high bauk at the other, - and a public road crossing in tho middle.
