We have received a the w.F.c.A. copy of the balancebalance, sheet of the Waira-
rapa Farmers' Cooperative Association for the past year. The fiist question one asks on any statement of accounts nowadays, is as to safety, Well, the W.F.C.A. reduces its dividend of 8 per cent, paid to shareholders last year, to six per cent., and its liabilities generally aro smaller and its reserves strengthened. This is essentially the policy of safety, and intelligent shareholders in the concern will thank the directorate for giving them this year, a G per cent, instead of an 8 per cent, dividend, The building up of a strong reserve will be tho best guarantee of a permanent and substantial dividend in.the future.
