Pahiatua, Thursday. The Burns Club concert and social last night was largely attended. Eleven children entered for the ■< reciting competition,-'the prices being wpn by Master Janjes Steward, Misij Grace George, and ibis's Turner respectively. All did remarkably well, the two first named are scholars at Tutaokara School. Messrs Swan, Patterson, Bruce, and McPherson were present and contributed items.
