No business of special importance was transacted, The Frances Ross Dramatic Company played hero last night, to a jfitod house. The company ia tho ■flfit dramatic combination that has yet appeared here, and should draw big houses in your town. To-night, a debate takes place botween the Pahiatua and Mangatainoka Societies, on the subject of tho Referendum. ■ Thero is not likely to bo any contest for tho seats in tho Borough Council, rendered vacant by the retirement of one member from each ward. Tho Makakahi Creamery opened ' yesterday and took in 150 gallons of w milk. To-day the amount was 200 ~ gallons. Pauiatua, Wednesday.
