AKITIO ROAD BOARD.
tt ORDINARY MEETING. A meeting of the Board was held on Thursday last, Present, the Chairman, and Messrs Armstrong, Foreman and Speedy. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed Letters were read from Mr Culloty, stating that he would commenco work on No. i and 5 contracts next week, From Mr Kerins, applying for an allowance for maintenance after completing No. 3 contract, also applying for payment of ono chain of formation, ' : from Mr Beard, stating that all monies to which the late Mi Herbert was entitled, can now he paid to his executors. From County Clerk, with accounts £fl 9s 5d for engineering, etc. From Land Tax Commissioner re subsidy overpaid in 1803. Resolved that Mr Kerins' applicav\ipn fqr maintenance be not enter--4sained, and that the extra work be ' measured to ascertain if his claim is correct, ' That all monios due to the late Mr Herbert be paid as indicated by Mr Beard. That a general rate be made of a halt-penny in the £, in accordance with liotico.givon at last meeting. Accounts amounting to £l7B 5s 5d worepassed for payment, and the meeting adjourned to the 26th Sop.tember,
