From Our Own Cormponiml. Wednesday. "It never rains hut it pours," is an old but true saying, us shown by tho accidents lust Saturday. Mrs Elder was being driven to Te Nui by her coachman, and when about a inilo away from the township, her hat blew olf; tho coachman, giving the reins to Mrs Elder to hold, got out to recover the lost property, when the horses bolted, .Mrs Elder being unable to hold them in. On turning a sharp bend in the road, the buggy capsized, throwing Mrs Elder and child down a steep embankment. The horses thou slopped. lloln Mr A. Nieholls, ji., and Muster K. Niolmlls, witnessed the accident, and I hey of course made their wav to the scene. Mr

A. Niclmlls was taking a short eul across the river, hut in wading it the current swept him oil' his feet, he then having to swim out again. The most unfortunate thing, however, happened to Master E. Nieholls. He was in such n hurry to lend assistance, that he got on a horse without a saddle, and in galloping down a hill, was thrown off and trampled under foot by the animal. He received two broken ribs and a slight injury (o his hack, as well as bruises all overhis body, his shoulder especially suffering, I am glad to say Mrs Elder is getting over her accident, having received a severe shaking. Master Nieholls is progressing favourably under our kind doctor's attention.

Yesterday afternoon, a dog was seen (o chase and catch one of Mi' Binding's lambs. Two men rushed across the paddoeks to save the lamb, but it was giving its last kick when they arrived on the scene.
