DISASTROUS BUSH FIRES.
Received August 2S, 10.15 p.m. Sydney, August 28. The most disastrous bush fires over known in the Greta district have been raging since Sunday. The area covered is 15 square miles. Thousands of acres Of grass liavo been destroyed, and many struggling farmers are ruined, Twenty thousand acres of grase have been burned round West Maitland.
