Tho match Wellington College v, Wanganui College, was won yesterday by Wellington by 12 points to 6. A writer in the N.Z. Times says; For the winners, MoAru has quite surpassed all provious efforts, and Payton, too, behind the scrum, has passed cleverly, and McKenzie and Smitfi baye also done well. Tripe Jins been unfortunate, A serious injury to his nose has considerably affected the play. Of tho forwards, Willis, McFarlniid, Edwards and Hales have done best.
Tho bright particular star of the Wanganui boys has been Cooper. It lias perhaps been fortunate for WeW lington that he Ims had so few ojiflfiw tuuities, Cornford has also played capitally, mid Hovcll has done good work. Amongst tho forwards Willis, Mtzherbert and McKenzio have played well. Tho referee is Mr W. McKenzie, and the touch judges, Messrs Reeves (Wellington), and Weckes (Wanganni)"
