Application has been mado to tlio Laud Board for a substantial reduc-' tion in the valuation of tho 1 Morven Hills and Hawkdon Runs on the grounds of sovero losses of stock in tho recout snowstorms. It is estimated that 50,000 sheep perished on tho Morven Hills run, and the Manager of Hawkdon believes that tlio wliolo Hock there has succumbed, but It • cannot be definitely determined until the snow melts.
