Shanghai, lugust 20. The Chinese soldiers sent to Kucheng are plundering the people, who regiirc 1 the foreigners aB cause of their sufferings. Prior to recent Chinese riots, native placards were distributed throughout Kucheng, charging the missionaries with kidnapping children for the purpose of extracting oil.

News by the Chime steamer, states that two of the Kev. Dr, Stewart's children are among tho survivors at Kucheng.
