ACCUSED ACQUITTED. Received Amjusl 15, 9.15 v.m. Meiiiourse, August 15. Tho Ballnvat forgery sensatiqn was before the Court to-day. Tho ciisG against tho cfii'l Bonos, who was charged with forgiug her father's name tq a cheque, was withdrawn, and Warner, clerk, alleged to be an accomplice, was discharged, the Bench holding there was no case. The girl gave evidence that she had known Warner for throe a four weeks, when ho asked her to marry him, and stipulated that she should stealand.foygea cheque, and prom? jspd tp return the mpnoy if lief father consented tp the marriage. She gavo lijin five blank cheques, and showed liim her father's signature. Subsequently she cashed a cheque which Warner had sigaed.
