SHOCKING TRAGEDY.
MURDER AND SUICIDE.
Memiournk, August 15. A shocking tragedy has occurred at Tumor, near Maryborough. A miner named Bowring took a young woman, named Randall, to whom he was engaged to be married in October, for a drive.
He alighted at a retired place and shot hor through the head with a revolver, and then blew his own brains out. Both aro dead.
Bowring had been speculating and betting heavily lately, and had lost all his savings. *
