TE NUI NOTES.

l'nm Our Oicii Comqiumknt, The Mungapakeha bachelor's invite social took place last .Friday, it being on the whole a fair success, 1 must not forget to mention one or two items in connection with it. The weather was all that could be desired, and the floor was in splendid order, and too much praise cannot be given to the untiring Secretary, Mr A. Maile, and the Committee in general. They did all in their power to make the affair a success. 1 think everyone enjoyed themselves, and I hope to see the Tc Nui bachelors give a return very shortly. Rumour says the Mungapakeha Schools is not to be rebuilt, owing to some disagreement among the parents. Therefore the Te Nui Amateurs will have to abandon the idea of helping them. Tickets are selling very rapidly in connection with the Foresters' Ball, to take place on Friday night, and given line weather I think tliey will have an exceedingly large attendance. Plans and specifications are now out for ourConsiable's new residence, and judging by them, it will be an elaborate affair. The Te Nui Amateur Dramatic Club still hold their practices twice or thrice a week, and to judgo by their talk one would imagine they intended taking a trip to the Old Country!
