Adelaide, July 30, On _ Friday night tho Premier speaking at Port Piric in condemnation of the agitation against tho Stato Advances Bill referred sarcastically to EG. Sparkes, Manager of tho South Australian Company ajdß a prominent opponent of the $Jr Yesterday Sparkes met the Premier in company with Sheriff in Victoria Square, accosted Kingston, and without tiny warning struck him several blows with a whip-stick. The Premier wrested tho stick from his assailant and got in several blows himself, and a scuffle followed. Sheriff and several by-sf-anders dragged Kingston away by force, and Sparkes drovo off in a cab, The Premier is cut, # but Sparkes evidently had the worst of the encounter. Tho Premioi'' sdys lie means to take no'action' as ho 'is satisfied with what he gave Sparies?
