GREYTOWN BAND BALL.

The Fancy Press Masquerade Ball held at Grcytown Inst evening, under t-hft auspices of the local Band was a great success from every point of view, the attendance being yery large. Tlio heavy weather during the day minimised the attendance of visitors from a distance, but tho evening turned out tine and cold, and made dancing a thorough enjoyment for those who were fortunate enough to be present. A large number of fancy dresses, were worn, somo being unique and extremely pretty. Tho comical element was also well sustained, and the array of masked dancers for tlio lirst part of tlio evening had a mjsfcifying effect upon the large number of onlookers in the galleries. ' TlioHail was gaily decorated, the mirrors, pictures, Bunting and' brass instriihieiits of tlie Band' placed in conspicuous positions, setting 'the roop oif to ptifectiop.' Splepdid niusic was provided py Messrs Kearsley, Variiliam, Seimltj, Phillips, and Maguire, and all thp arrangements were carried out wife out a hitch. To tho untiring ejfortß of Mr j.
