It was stated that a petition on the subject had already been signed by 3,058 persons, A resolution was carried—" That in view of the recent case in which fines were inflicted ou hotelkeepors for selling to people representing themselves ns travellers, a deputation from tho meeting should wait upon hotolkoepeis, and endeavour to got a nnanimbns agreement to refuse all drinks ou Sunday, and that tho resolution should bo forwarded ns a recommendation to the Licensed Victuallers Association,"
