[To The Editor, W.D. Times.]

Sir,—lt is gratifying to find such general interest taken in tho practical success of the proposed classes, and your correspondent of Saturday no doubt expresses the opinion of many others. Allow mo to say that oa-jh of the subjects he names, have been under discussion by tho Committee appointed by the Town Lands Trust, and it is hoped to formulate a scheme that will, as need arises, embrace all subjects likely to be of use to young Colonists. The Committee are desirous that the scheme, when laid before the Trust, shall bo in tho broadest sense practical, and that the classes when formed, shall be of use to tho greatest possible number; to that end, I am suro any member of the Committeo will be glad to confer with your correspondent—or any other citizen who feels an interest in the matter. I was not awaro that Auckland had classes in successful operation, and any information as to their constitution, management, cost, etc., will be of use to those now charged with the duties of the Committee. The Committee meet again this evening, and it is hoped to have a scheme ready to lay before the Town Lands Trust at its meoting on August 2nd. —I am, etc, a v .CnAs. E. Dakiul
