Secekcd, Jvhj 22,11.45 a.m. Melbourne, July 22. Many survivors of the Ertorado disaster were knocked down. Ji Nearly all tlio lights wero extinW guished and the trucks overthrown and the timbers blown away by tlio concussion of the air. A deafening noise was heard at tho surface. Some of the men waded almost up to their necks throagh slush, in order to reach tho main drive. Tho rushing torrent carried Lugo bouldew just behind them, which stuck at the ontvauc® to the drive, and dammed back the flood and enabled them to escape. Sydney, July 22. A fire begun at midnight in tho Block XI. mine, at Broken Hill, and
a dense volume of smoke and llames is arising from the southern end. It is not known which level is burning. Thore is no one in tho mine.
