♦ From Our Oien Corresjuimlent. This last week or two, wc have experienced tho finest and coldest weather known here for many years. Frosts have been the order of the day, particularly sharp ones occuring on Thursday and Saturday mornings. In many place?, on those days, the frost and ice lay on the ground the whole of the day. A Quadrille Assembly has been formed, and intend holding weekly dances in the Hall. A start was made last Saturday, and was very successful. The music was supplied by the Taueru Orchestra, so that the music was good,goes without saying, It is to be hoped that the dances will continue successfully, as some kind of amusement is required by the young people during the winter months.
