In the matter of a Bill to be intituled "An Act to empower the Mastcrton Trust Lands Trustees to borrow £2,500 for the erection of a Town Hall, NOTICE is hereby given (hat application is iutended to be mado lit the present session-of the General I Assembly of New Zealand for leave to bring in a Bill lo be intituled, "An Act to empower the Mastevlon Trust Lands lrustccs to borrow £'2,500 for the erection of a Town Hall," and tlmt the objects of such Bill will be toenable and i authorise the Mastcrton Trust Lands j Trustees to borrowasumof not exceeding £'2soofor the purpose of erecting a Town ! Hall within the Borough of Mastarton, such money to he borrowed on debentures, having a currency not exceeding ten years, of not less thin £lO or more than toO each, and bearing interest at a rate not exceeding six pounds per centum per annum, and to be secured upon the revenues of the Mastcrton Trust Lands Trust, and the Bill will further empower the Trustees, upon the maturity of the said debentures, torcucw, re-issue, or exchange such debentures, for other debentures at a rate of interest not exceeding six pounds per centum p<r annum, ami for such period as the Trustees may determine. The Bill will also providcthatbefore any steps shall be taken to raise a loan under this Act, the consent of the inhabitants whose nanips are on the voters list of the Mastcrton Trust Lands Trust shall be obtained by taking a poll in the manner therein provided, such consent to be deemed to lie given if (lie number of votes recorded ill favour of the proposal exceeds one half of the lotiil number of voters on the \ oters' List. Machinery is also provided for taking the poll, authority is given for payment of preliminary expenses and erection of Town Hall out of loan mouey, and a form of debenture is contained in the schedule of the Bill.
