SUPPOSED WRECK.
By Telegraph.—Press Assorniiiim. Auckland, Monday. Captain Anderson, of the Jianapouri, brings information '.finch would appear to point to the wreck of a timber laden vessel bound for Syduey. The Manapouri|lcft Sydney . last Wednesday and next morning a large quantity of heavy timber was soon floating about the water on ijntli sides of the steamer, which as she progressed increased to such an extent that tho engine bad to lie stopded for nome time. The wreckago was scattered over about twelve miles, The timber was either Baltic or Oregon pine and not Kauri. One of the logs was marked with a letter like" I)" in black,
