GAMBLING.
Biiishaxe, June 28. The Gambling Bill imposes a penalty on sweep promoters, and persons convicted of keeping betting houses, and those connected with missing word compeiious, and also on persons advertising the same. The penalty was fixed at £IOO, or six mouths' imprisonment.
