Messrs Lowes and lorns report at their fortnightly stock sale yesterday, the stook yarded, owing to the rough weather, was short of the advertised list, but'those to hand were of c;ood quality, and except on» pen, were all sold, prices, for fat ewes and forward wethers was in excess of last sale with good demand. In cattle the entries wero chiefly beef, of which there was a large entry of very fine quality, and out of 40 jarded only'five were unsold, Dairy stock was rather poorly represented. In pigj some fine sorts were penned,, all soiling, bat at prices in favor of purchasers. Sheep : ]?at ewes, heavy, 6s 6d to 7sld; medium, 6s; forward ewes, 4s 9s to 6s 6d; good ewes in lamb, 6s; medium, 4s. ' ' Beef: Bullocks, £6; cows, £5 ; '' heifers, £5 ss; dairy cows, £4 10s • heifers, £3lss.' . Piga:.Large, 25s to3ss; porkers, 18s 6d to 20s; stores, 9b to 12s.
