EAST AFRICA. Received June 14,10 pm. London, June H. The proposal to pay the British East_ Africa Company £90,000 as a retiring settlement was 'discussed in tho House of Commons last night, the vote being agreed to by a majority of 198 votes. It has been arranged that the Consul-General of Zanzibar will administer the East Africa protectorate.
The construction of the railway to Uganda is to be commenced without delay.
