Eeceieed June 14,10.05 a.m. Melbourne, June 14. The Chamber of Commerce has decided to recommend the insertion of. a clause in the bills of lading attaching a penalty for delay in discharging cargoes in London after a fortnight from date of arrival. This is in consequence of the complaints of the great damage occasioned to the Australian trado by delay in the discharging of cargoes, The Argus, commenting on the South Australian loan, says the fact tlmtsorauchmoneyisavailablelocally at a low rate of interest is a proof that capitalists are unwilling to seek ordinary investment, and that enterprise must beat ayery low ebb.
