WWARM NORTHCOUNTY.I FINANCE COMMITTEE. • A meeting of the Finance Committoe was held to-day. Present, Cra Maunsoll (chairman), Von Redon and Smith. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed, treasurer's report. Tho Treasurer reported as follows; General Fund account, Dr. £3059 Is 4d, L.B.L. account, Cr. £2163 Is, leaving a debit balanco at tho bank of £896 0s 4d, Acccounts showed a balanco of £1077 3s 3d. Recipts since 9th May amounted to £1099 0s 2d, including rates £4lB 19a, tolls, £69 lis 6d, publican's, licenses £67, payment from Government on account of thirds and loans, etc. £36 5s Id. The balance-sheet for the year ending March 31st was'brought up. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £644 'l2s 7d wcroconsidered and recommended for payment. On tho motion of Cr Smith, seconded by Cr Von Reden, it was resolved that the Council bo requested to direct that the balance to the credit of the Pori and Saunder'sßoad loan (being under £SO) be transferred to tho Alfrcdton District Account. On tho motion of Cr Smith, seconded by the Chairman, the Committeo decided that they had no recommendation to make with referonce to the proposal of Messrs Sheohyn awl McGrath to accept £5 and leave the Council to clear the slips on contract No. 4, Saunders' Road.
