SIXPENNY CONCERT.
IUASI'JiKTUiX WKSLMAIY ; schoolroom: The third of the scries of sixpenn; ■ concerts in connection with the Muster ton Wesleyau Church, was held las evening, and proved most enjoyable , being quite up to the usual high staii dard. The opcniiigorcrlure "Genevieve' was nicely played by the Orchestra cou ] sisting of Messrs Kerslej, Candy, Light i and Husscll. The next item was' tin 1 song by Mr C. Graders, " Bockcd in tin , Cradle of the Deep." Mr Graders, win s is ulways a favourite, sang with fcclinj i and received hearty applause. Maste: ; HorlieDonald then recited " The WcalU of England," and received an encore , Miss l'ragncll followed, singing ver B sweetly" Jioses Underneath the Snow,' r and received a well-deserved encore j This is Miss Pragncll's lirst appearand j and with a little more practice, sin would gain sufficient confidence to merit a place amongst our foremost sopranas ' The violin solos by Miss Nellie Daniel r and Miss Ethel Whilt were very nice]; 0 played, and both give every indicatio, " of becoming good musicians. They re 0 quire, however, a little more contidcucc 5 Mr A. 11. Light received an eucoro foi 0 his song "In Old Madrid." Mis 1 Dultes followed with a piano solo wind 1 whs ray nicely played. Miss (Jrai I received hearty applause for her sou] " Xea." _ Mr Lilly's song " liest to th< c Weary," was well sung, the orgai IT obligafo by Mr Meadows blending ver; t sweetly. The gem of the evening wa; s undoubtedly the duet by Misses i'ren t lice and Cran, "Life's dream is o'er,' t the performers responding lo an ciitlms it instic encore with the duet" In the dusl II of the twilight," The musical quartetti by Messrs Kcrslcy, Minifie, G. and T Gray, was heartily applauded and MrT Gray responded with a trombone solo, Mr Simms song "Quecuof my heart,' his effort heiug very much appreciated '• and his fine well-cultivated voico wa. l t hoard to advantage in his song, of whicl; r he is thoroughly master, A hearty i vote of thanks was proposed by the chairman on behalf of the Trustees and I Sunday School to all the friends whe ' had so kindly assisted, and carried by acclamation.
