Wairarapa Teachers' Son versazione.

The annual Wairarapa Tcaclicrs' Social and Conversazione, under the auspices of the Wellington Educational Institute, was held in the School last evening, and proved itiW » every way a great success. Nearly two hundred visitors were-present including Mr A. W. Hogg, M.IO' the members of the School Committee" and representatives from evciy School in the district. All the rooms' wcro gaily decorated with evergreens, flags and pictures, and all arrangements for the comfort and convenience of those present, were earned out in a perfect maimer. The long corridors were illuminated with fairy lamps, which made a very pretty effect, The concert room crowded to listen to the first programme, which consisted o£ wcll-rcndercd songs by the Mowrog ladies and gentlemen ;- Misses Ha and Johnstone, Mesdames itcith anclKummcr, and Messrs 'Bowse, Gover Simms, Meadows, Smith, Light, andWorboys. Selections on the piano were also played by Mr Kearsley An adjournment was then mado to the social room, where dancing was indulged in with great pleasure until wo o clock this morning, Messrs Jtaenberg, Candy and Papworth kindly . provided tho music. Another largo room TO filled Uh scientific apparatus, ■ which proved of considerable interest to a number of the visitors.
