* [llY DAMOCLES.] Tho Orientals played a mixed team of Stars, on the Park Oval, yesterday, and the scoring stood — Orientals 11, Stars 6—when tho ball was burst, and play had to bo abandoned. • The White Stars beat the Carterton Roycrs, yesterday, by eight points to »i 7. Tho Rovers played well, and held their opponents back till nearly the finish of the game, when two tries wore- scored by Gardner and Osman, Richards converting the formor. Great interest is being taken in the Greytown-Star heat, to be played at Groytown, to-morrow, and a nunibor of enthusiasts will bo present from Mastei'ton.
