A SPANISH GOVERNOR SHOT.

Madrid, June 4. Clavijo, an Infantry Captain, has shot at and wounded the Marquis EBtrella, Goveruor of Madrid. The outrage was committed at a mid-day reception, and the offender was wounded by the Governor's aide-de-camp with his sabre. Clavijo, who was given into custody, admits that for some time past he has hated the Governor, who prevented him marrying a lady on the grounds that lie was already a married man. Clavijo has been condemned to be shot, and tho sentence will he carried out to-day.
