SUICIDE AT SEA.
Received, May 31,2.36 p.m. •' Pf.kth, May It Ims been ascertained, fljfat Captain Robertson, of the ship Aberfoyle, who was reported to have died mysteriously, 011 May Ist, committed suicido by taking poison, The Aberfoylo was sighted by the steamer Tagliaferro, off the Coast, on ' May 18th, and the latter's second officer was placed on board, to navigate tho ship to Melbourne.

The crew report that bnt for the timely appearauco of tho stoamer Tagliaferro, the vessel would havo been wrecked the 6ame night as land was sighted, Captain Roberta had been drinking heavily before the mate ► was washed overboard, and after this event occurred, he drank half a pint of carbolic acid, from the ef|ctß of which ho died. ™
