Ca l' tail i Kobertson died mysteiv lously on May Ist, leaving thr* orphan children on board, vlrilt Norton, tbo first mate, was washed overboard shortly afterwards, during a heavy gale. As the vessel carried '■ no second mate, tbo position was perilous, but the sail-maker volun- ' teored to navigate her, and brought the ship to tho coast. The second mate of tho Tagliiiforro will navicato ■ tbo vessel to Melbourne.
