PIGEON MATCH.
(i' e inclement weather of yesterday, tli.e North Wairarapa Gnn Club held their second match at Messrs Lowes ami lonis' grounds. Mr J. Mandcl's ttfji-guinea cup was fired for, this cup having to be won twico consecutively m* thrco times at intervals, Mr J. Mowlem securing
a leg-in, after having a sovero contest with Mr A. Resido, the former shooting 16 birds out of 17, whilst the latter shot 15 out of 17. This is the Club's record up to tlio present, The pigeons roso from iho traps exceedingly well, considering the weather, which no doubt wis greatly against them. The match was an entire success, not a single b itch of any ki nd ogch rrinfj, and Mi'W. R, Bono is to bo congratulated on bis maiden effort as Secretary to the Gun Club.
