FERNRIDGE CONCERT.

A crowded and appreciative audi, ence assembled last evening, in the Schoolroom, to enjoy tho programmo of vocal and instrumental music arranged by Mr and 'Mrs Govcr, assisted by Miss Ankotell. The proceeds of tho concert are to be devoted to the Organ Fund, A number of Masterton araatours kindly lont thoir services, and altogether a rare musical treat was given.

Tho following programme was gone through :—Overture, " Tho Isis," Miss J. Meredith Anketoll (cornet), Master Ej£s; (violin); song, " Calvary," 'Mr' Kummer; reading, Miss Julia Perry; song, "Tit for Tat," Miss Walker j song, "In Sheltered Vale," Mr Sellar; duet, "Life's Dream is O'er,. Farowoll," Mr Jeffries and Hiss; Walker; song, "Please Give Men* Penny Sir," Miss Belle Miller ; recitation, " Tho Road to Heaven," Mr Eeoro; song, "The Warrior Bold," Mr Gover; Overture (piano duet), "Poot and Peasant," Mrs Gover and Miss Pearce; piano solo, " En Route," Miss Jane Meredith; song, "Tho Last Milestone,"MissJohnstone, and in response to am encore, " Kathleen Aroon"; Bong, "The Mighty Doop," Mr Robinson; song, "Massa's in do Cold Ground," Master J. Miller; dnet, violin and piano, _ Master and Miss Elkina-> recitation, Mr Harry Walker; Sony/ " Good Evening," Mr Pearce; "God Save the Queen."

Accompaniments wore played by Misses J. Meredith, Pearce, Biking' and Mesdames Waddington, GoAJ Robinson, and Kummer. AtJPe conclusion, Mr Gover, on behalf oftho Committee, thanked tta, au di. ence for their attendance.
