UPPER TAUERU ROAD BOARD.
Tho ordinary meeting was hold on May'lth. Present: Messrs J. Miller, G. McKay, and J. Y. Pony. Mr J. Miller was elected chairman pro km. Tho minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
COKRESPOSDEKOt. From the Commissioner of Crown Lands, stating that the proposal to spend accrued thirds and fourths on the Mungerai Track bad been approved by the Land Board. From Mr J. Wingate, requesting the Board to do repairs on tlnK Upper Taueru Track. J& JtomMrA.B.Pmtra.reqiJT |rog the Board to repair the damage done to his ford by the recent floods, From the Colonial Secretary,, acknowledging receipt of letter enclosing copy of special order striking special rate for Mungapakeha, loan, From the Receiver of LamJ Revenue, stating that tho sum of £lO 2s 5d hadbeeu lodged in the Bank of Now Zealand as payment 1 of accrued thirds and fourths. From the WairarapaNorth County Council, requesting statement of receipts and expenditure, and assets l and liabilities of the Board, for transmission to tho Colonial Treasurer. It was resolved that Mr Wingate's application be attended to ns Boon as the roadman is at liberty. That the Mauriceville Boad Board be written to, asking them to pay half tho cost of the damage done by tho recent heavy rains to tho Mun-gerai-Wairere Tracks,. i That notice be given to all rate-., payers who have not yet paid thrift!., rates, that summonses will be issued:"' without further delay. Accounts amounting to £46 10s: lOd were passed for payment. - The next meeting of the Board! will bo held on the first iSaiurday in> June.
