Melbourne, May 11. At tho Postal Convention Mr Todd estimated the loss on tho Port Darwin line, which the colonies have to pay, at £5,000, and on the New Zealand guarantee £8,676. It turns out, however, that tho receipts from the former exceed the amount of guarantee by nearly a thousand, and the colonies will have nothing to pay. Some contribution will be required to make the Now Zealand guarantee good
