Mr Gladstone, in a vigorous letter, states that Turkey is apparently resolved to procure her own ruin. He hoped that England, alone or jointly with the Great Powers, would use force, if necessary, to prevent a repetition of the deeds of shame. Bcmrcti Muy'J, 10.10 p.m. Loxnox, May 8. The '1 'wins says that practical relief in connection with the atrocities in Armenia is dillicult. The article suggests that a Governor should be approved by the great Powers and allowed a free hand in the administrating but at tho same time he should be watched by resident Commissioners appointed by tho Powers.
