Competitors b jump hurdles, dismount, lead horse to lady to thread needle, tie knot in cotton, hau'l same to competitor, who then remounts, jumps hurdles, and jii oc eds to winning post. Open only to members ot recognised Hunt Clubs, Ist gold bracelet value £5, 2nd brooch, 3rd tennis racket. ■J. Gretna Green Knee—Competitors to start with two lior es [or ponies], riding one and leading the other with saddle on, etc. T.allop over hurdle to a tent 150 yards oil, where mcmbors dressed as ladies are assembled. Each competitor to assist his lady to mount, then mount his own horse, the pair to gallop back over hurdle to slartiug post, dismount and sign their nauioi legibly. Remount anil gallop over hurdle aud around post and back again over hurdle to the winning post. Ist prize JE'l, 2nd £2. 5. Jumping Competition—Over hunting fences [no water]. Minimum weight 12st, Ist prize £7,2 nd £3. 2, Bareback ltace, —Fncn to tail. Ist prize £2,2 nd special. 7. Cigar and Umbrella CompetitionCompetitor to light cigar, open umbrella,, mount horse, jump hurdle, ride to winning post, cigar to be alight at finish, i'irst prize £3 and box of cigars, 2nd silver mounted pipe.
