HYPNOTISM.
AN INTERESTINO EXPERIMENT, Received-, Mag 3,11.30 a.m. Adelaide, May 3. An interesting operation under hypnotism, which turned out successfully, was performed by a local doctor, on a lady suffering from calcareous tumour in the breast; she refused to be placed under the influence of aunjsthetics, but consented to be hypnotised. For sonio weeks previous to the operation she was accordingly repeatedly hypnotised. The operation took thirty-five minutes, and the tumour was removed without a sign of pain ori trouble, S Towards the finish the woman laughed at some remarks made by the doctor. When de-mesmerized she displayed great curiosity as to what had been done, and could hardly believe the cause of pain had been removed, and walked out of the house in excellent spirits,
