From Our Own Curmpondent. Wednesday. A meeiing of milk suppliers of the N.Z.F.D. Union was held in committee last eyeuing, but the result of the meeting is not known yet, though it is an open secret that some of the cheques have come to hand, less the call which falls due on the 20th inst. I am pleased to state that at last the road towards Tauherenikau is being repairod; the contractor having started during the past few days. The shooting season starts to-day and quite a number of sports are away slaughtering; tho shooting started soon after midnight, and was carried on all through the night.
