DEATH OF A PIONEER SETTLER.
I By Telegraph—Press Associtmm Reefion, Tuesday. Mr J. W. McLaughlan, a pioneer resident and successful mining speculator, died at 5,30 this morning,after a very short illness. He has been very largely identified with quartz mining since the opening of the reefs here. He was greatly respeotod, Tho cause of death was heart disease.
