Lowes and lorns v. W. Morris.— Claim £l9 17s for sale of certain stock.—Judgment by default with costs 30s. W. Dongall v. Herbert MarshClaim 18s due on account.—Judgment by default, with costs 6s. Wm, Pragnell v. Messrs Gray and Pryske—Claim £5 9s lid for timber .applied. Immediate execution of 'mm granted as certain money had been paid into Court on same. Costs 15s. Andrew Young, tailor of Grey- . town, v. Toi Natanahira—Claim for goods supplied, £ls 19s 6d. Judgment by default with costs, Mr Pownall for plaintiff. C. Smith and Co. v, W. Ford.— Claim 178 2d for goods supplied. Judgment by default with 6s costs Same y. R, Manning. - Claim £2 3s 7|d, balance due on account. Judgment by default with 6s costs. Mason, Struthcrj k Co, v T, H, Thompson.—This was a case brought by Messrs Mason, Strathers & Co., of Christchurch, judgment creditors to the amount of £24 2s 9d for goods supplied, against Thos. H, Thompson, saddler of Masterton. Mr Bunny appeared for the plaintiffs and Mr Ponaall for the defendant. Counsel for the plaintiffs asked the defendant to show cause why he should not meet the claim, or that at the time of creating the same ho Ajjras not in a position to meet it ifyithm a reasonable time. Defendant stated that he had done his best to meet the claim, which originally amounted to £9O, His father had assisted him to carry on the business, by advancing sens of time to time.
At tho present timo was not in a position to make any offer. His father would back another bill for the amount, but on writing to tho firm, they had not made any reply ono way or tho other, At this stage the case was adjourned. Torrey and Son v. Tawhiao To Tau.—Disputed claim on a fencing contract, in which plaintiffs seek to recover die balanco of a sum of £7O, alleged to bo due, (Left Sitting).
