Tho postponed Easter meetiug of the above Club took place yesterday, the weather being fine and the attendance very good, a large number of visitors being present from Wellington, Masterton and the Forty, mile Bush, and were well repaid for their journey by witnessing some excellent racing. No sensational dividends were paid, but at the same time tho public fancy seemed pretty open, as in most of the events the iields were evenly backed. Messrs Bright and Morrison's starting machine was used for all events, and proved a great success, the starls being, m nearly every instance, really good. The Secretary (Mr (t. T. P. Hulton), ably assisted by a competent stall', is to he congratulated on the excellence of his arrangements, and his careful attention to the little details which tend so much to flic enjoyment of visitors to a rare mcoli'ig, and it is safe to say that, had the weather permitted the meeting being held on the date originally fixed, the Wairarapa liacing Club's Autumn Meeting would have bceu a record one. All the officers were attentive to their duties, yesterday's racing passing off without the least hitch.no protests, accidents, or anything of the kind occurring to mar the pleasure of the day's sport. Music was supplied by the (rTeytown Brass Baud, the following excellent programme being given:—Quick march, " The Wild Indian "; valsc, " Messenger of love"; polka, "Fly Away"; quickmarch, "Tholtovenge"; selection, "The Stranger"; scliotlisdic, "Militaire"; quicK march, "The Standard Bearer"; valse, " The Flower Girl"; slow march, "Dick Whittingto.i"; quick march," Straw Thatched Cottage "; polka, "Sweet Smiles"; valse,"Passing Thoughts"; lancers, "Kiss-in-the-lling "; march, " Ducks and Drakes"; galop, "Never Stop." From a good start Mutineer was first to show in front, and passing the stand all were close up. All the jumps were negociated safely, the course being in splendid condition. At the back of the course Oddfellow passed Mutineer and turning into the straight Dromedary joined the leaders, an exciting finish resulted iu Mutineer winning by two lengths. Time. 2min oflsecs. Total 261. Div., £l7s. Fifty four tickets were on the winner.

Ten stamen faced the machine, all getting away well together, except Euby who ran back. A good race resulted in a win for Omago by about three lengths. Time, lmin 20Msec. Total 313. Div. £3 7s. The investors on the machine were 84.
