News has been renewed that the terms of peace between China and Japan have been signed. (Received April 17,12.40 a.m.) London, April 16. The Times' special reporter at Shanghai telegraphs that the terms of peace between China and Japan includes the independence of Corea, the retention by Japan of the conquered places, also the territory to the east of the Liao River, the concession of Formosa, an indemnity of one hundred million dollars, and an offensive and defensive allianco.
