NORTH WAIRARAPA GUN GLUB.
COMMITTEE MEETING,
A nioeting of the Committee of tho'North Wairarapa Gun Club was held in tho Club Hotel on Thursday evening.
The minutes of tho previous meeting were read and confirmed. Messrs Wi Hutana, J. Mowlem, and P. F. Tancred were elected members.
Messrs J. Mandel and J. Tucker who have kindly given cups were elected life members.
It was decided that no members be allowed to shoot in matches unless their subscriptions are paid. That Mr Tucker's cup be fired for in the first match, which is to bo held on Thursday, 25th April. Mr E. M. ]). Whatman gave notice of motion of the following new rule:—" That no shooter shall be allowed to "no bird " except at his own cost, and that the roferee shall "no bird" a bird, providing it is disabled or walks away from the shooter, and that such bird shall not be charged to the shooter."
It was decided to purchase a.net for the purposo of catchingsparrows. Mr Hives gives a trophy for the best average shot in cup matchea of seven birds or more, the members having to shoot in two-thirds of the matches during the season, to be' eligible.
It was also decided to fire all matches on Thursdays. Mr E, M. D. Whatman proposed that the Secretary be allowed to purchase sparrows at 2d per head, the sparrows to be delivered the! night beforo a match .
